About Laura

Laura Tillack is originally from St. Andrews, NB, but has lived in Alberta since 2001. She is a mother of two beautiful girls, Kailey and Savannah, and has owned her own small business (True Touch Massage Therapy & Fitness) since 2008, located in downtown Leduc. She has grown her business from a sole proprietorship to a corporation that employs 23 amazing individuals, giving them the flexibility to work around their busy lives while still enjoying what they do and generating an income. 

Prior to being on council, she volunteered on various boards and organizations throughout the City. One of the first projects she has worked on is the Deer Valley Playground Committee, which brought the community Mary Marsh Playground in 2010. Since then she has consistently been involved in a variety of community programs from being a Girl Guide leader, to coaching a variety of sports that her children have been involved in, as well as the involvement in a numerous amount of charity events that have occurred in the Leduc & Edmonton Area. (including but not limited to; Relay for Life, Terry Fox Run, etc.)

Over the years, she had been on a number of boards including Leduc Regional Chamber of Commerce (3.5 years), Leduc Downtown Business Association (since 2012-2022), AG Rhythmics Gymnastics Club Board (2 years), St. Benedict's Elementary School Executive and The Leduc Arts Foundry Board.

One of her favorite activities since summer of 2016 has been singing and playing music. She has co-hosting Monthly Open Mic Nights for 8 years allowing all skill levels of music to participate and share their passion for the arts. She had also been performing for residents at a variety of local retirement homes including; Salem Manor, Lifestyle Options Retirement Home, Extendicare Leduc & Planeview Manor prior to the pandemic.
